Mission


We enhance users' expeirence

with the public transportation.

                                                                   is a mobile application designed to provide efficient and better public transportation experience and more accurate operating time and route information for public transportation users. It enables commuters to share real-time transit issues, including safety concerns, natural disasters, and delays with other users, ensuring they are informed in advance and thus improving travel experience.

User Personas

User personas refer to fictional characters of a target user group. These personas are created based on research and data about user behaviors, goals, needs, frustrations, etc. This helps to understand our target audiences better and to make decent decisions about functionality and interface design.

User Journey Map

We chose one persona among three personas we created and built a user journey map to understand the user’s journey, including one's interactions, emotions, pain points, and motivations throughout the various stages of experience with the public transportation. This process helped us to gain a deeper understanding of the user's perspective, identifty opportunities for improvement, and ultimately design more intuitive and satisfying experiences for users.

Requirements

Based on the user journey map, we decided to develop the following five main functions deeper:

Flow Diagrams

The system needs to let users report all kinds of issue related to public transit.

The system needs to provide real-time updates on seating availability and crowd conditions.

The system needs to provide real-time information for all types of public transit.

The system needs to track users' carbon footprint.

The system needs to have a community board where users can share issues. experiences, or questions related to public transit with other users.

An overall system map was built to show the information architecture of the entire system.

Wireframes are created to model the interactions within the system based on task flows and the system map.

Get the accurate transit data in real-time.

In addition to directions and real-time arrival information that can be checked on existing public transportation apps, it is possible to check unexpected problems on public transportation that users want to use in real time.

Report any issue related to public transit.

If users faces an uncomfortable experience on public transportation or discovers a problem, they can report it to the MTA directly through the app.

Check the seat availability and crowd condtion of the public transit in real-time.

Users can find available seats and check crowd condition on specific public transits to avoid exhausted experience with the public transit.

Share your experience with the public transit
on community board.

Users can share thoughts, experience, or questions related to public transit with other users.

Track your carbon footprint process.

The system tracks users' carbon footprint, and the users can claim the point based on their carbon footprint. In addition, they can convert thier points into any rewards, such as coupons.
