Before Western religious cultures, such as Christianity and Catholicism, came in, shamanism, which was handed down to the private sector, was taking root in Korea. Even now, the influence of shamanism can be found in many parts of Korean life. A good example is superstition from the old ancestors. Of course, advances in science and technology have resulted in many people who do not believe in superstitions, but it cannot be denied that they have affected Korean culture and daily life. I would like to introduce Korean superstitions to readers who are unfamiliar with them through the zine 미신[Mi-Shin], a Korean word which literally means superstition.
